A range of educational pamphlets produced for use at the Motutapu Island Outdoor Education Camp by the Marine Studies course graduates. They cover the following areas: birds, rock pool habitats, cat's eyes, mangroves (the inter-tidal forests), thaid whelks, zones at the edge of the sea, seaweeds, barnacles, sea urchins, trees and shrubs of the coast, hermit crabs, sea slugs and shellfish.

Each pamphlet is simply written and clearly illustrated. The collection of information took place during the preliminary subtidal survey of subtidal communities and their habitats in the general area of Administration Bay, Motutapu Island. The species described are in general typical for the northern east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Show less
